Also i am only 15 so i do a LOT of downloadin and am not on my Laptop that offten, hense i would need one to spot Virus when i download and would not need 24/7 guidence.

Either that or he's wanting you to have it out of malicious intent. If you're at all concerned, couple it with "Windows Defender" which is Windows Native, made by Microsoft, and will detect malware which ARE NOT viruses.
AVG is pretty good. Updates by itself. Doesn't use alot of memory.
Avast anti-virus / Home edition ,it's free and works in the background with real-time protection
