Good Antivirus program (preferrably Free)?

Other than Norton and McAffee, what is the best antivirus program to use? Is there a really good free one that I can download? I've used Norton and McAffee and I'm sick of them. I want to try something new, but I want to be sure it's good.

check out active virus scan. i have used avg, and all the commerical ones like mcafee and norton, and active virus scan is free, updates whenever there is a new one, and runs in the backround from the welcome screen to the shutdown screen. although its from aol, surprisingly, its extremely un-intrusive. which most av programs are notorious of.
go to download.com for free antivirus progs

personally i use avast antivirus

mem usage is a bit chunkier

then avg free but it seemed to be more thorough then the free version on avg.
trust me i have tried all anti-viruses and none of them works well as anti vir...it really works good and its free plus it doesn't make your computer slow....try it and good luck

Go google.com then type in Pc tools free anti-virus. THey also have free firewall. I use both them and works fine. Anti-virus is like real time program..it scans and monitor all the files that are being sent or received at the moment.
AVG free edition. its the best one out there. heres the download link:
